The Virginia Out4Life reentry conference is being held by Prison Fellowship, a national organization based in Leesburg, Virginia.

It's hosting a series of conferences around the United States.

The organization hopes to bring everyone together across the Commonwealth, from government to non-profits and faith based groups, to help inmates with a smooth return to society.

"The equation is getting people off the street into prison, is one part of public safety. Getting those individuals ready to return back home so they're law abiding citizens and actually contributors to society is the back end of public safety, and that's what we're here to work on today with a community-based approach that doesn't cost the state money," says Prison Fellowship President and CEO Mark Earley.
